The time and weather widget on my Galaxy S6 refuses to acknowledge BST it still shoes the GMT time even though the phone's time has changed to BST :-D

BST
What's the point of daylight savings time?
It's not as though you actually get more daylight!
It just messes everyone about, makes me knackered for about 2 weeks no matter which way the change is.
It's like something from the dark ages, fooling the uneducated masses into somehow thinking they are getting extra hours in the day.
It's about time we stopped this ridiculous practice. And please lets not try staying at BST like the failed experiment in the early seventies, kids going to school in the dark and increased morning rush hour accidents!

Easter
Easter rolls around early this year. I can't help but think that the
fact that such an important Christian festival, is based around such a
Pagan concept as phases of the moon, is somewhat ironic.
But perhaps I should look at it as just further evidence that all religions are just visions of the one great universal truth.
Nothing special planned for the holiday, as Easter brings the chaos of the first bank holiday to the UK roads.
Just rest quietly at home.

5 years on
It's now been nearly 5 years since my stroke.
6th November 2010
In the last year I have started working for the stroke association as a volunteer.
Rewarding work, helping stroke survivors and their families and carers come to terms with what has happened.
Volunteer for the Stroke Association
I have also written my fourth book in my surviving a stroke series "5 years on"

The Internet Brick
Modern Legend tells of something called the Internet Brick, it is said that whoever can find this will have eternal fortune.
It is said that it was created in the very early days of the internet.
I have not been able to determine whether it is a real brick built somewhere into the hardware infrastructure or simply a picture of a brick on a website somewhere! Or maybe even something even more abstract.
I have met a few people over the years who have heard of it and searched for it, but no-one who has ever found it!
Join me in the search!
